RACE WEEKEND TIPS

Check out these useful tips for getting the most out of the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona. 

• The first piece of advice is obvious - get there early. Especially on the first race day on Sunday. It's better to enjoy the atmosphere of the race on the circuit than waiting in the queue, don't you think? The ideal time to arrive at the circuit is around 9 am.
• Plan what you want to do and where you want to go. If you're going with friends, bear in mind that the circuit's mobile phone network is very busy, especially on Sundays, and phone and data services may not work. Always arrange a checkpoint where you can meet if you get lost.
• The Spanish have their chance of winning with their famous driver at their home race. Carlos Sainz will be looking for success in the red Ferrari colours in front of the home fans. And legend Fernando Alonso will be making his first home appearance in the colours of his new Aston Martin team. As well the Spaniards, the race is also popular with Italian Ferrari fans and many spectators travel from France to watch. Follow the groups on social media to find the best places to cheer. You'll also get a clue from our grandstand map. However, you'll always find your "blood type" in the natural grandstand with the best general admission ticket.

Dress code

The dress code for the Spanish Grand Prix (F1) is generally casual and comfortable, but here are some tips to help you dress appropriately and enjoy the weekend to the fullest:

General dress code

• Comfort is key – expect warm and sunny weather in June.
• T-shirts, polos, and lightweight tops are ideal.
• Shorts or light pants are recommended. Avoid jeans if it's really hot.
• Comfortable shoes – you'll walk a lot. Sneakers or good sandals work best (no heels).
• F1 merch – repping your favorite team or driver is totally welcome!

 Must-have accessories

• Cap or hat – the Spanish sun can be intense.
• Sunglasses.
• Sunscreen – SPF 30 or higher is a must.
• Light raincoat or poncho – just in case (rare, but possible).

Hospitality areas (like Paddock Club)

• Smart casual is recommended.
• Think linen shirts, polos, summer dresses, chinos.
• No flip-flops, swimwear, or overly revealing clothing.
• Closed shoes preferred, especially for paddock or pit access.

Fan Zones / Grandstands / General Admission

• Very relaxed.
• You’ll see everything from team jerseys and flags to DIY race outfits.
• Bring something to sit on (blanket or cushion) if you're in General Admission.
